Welcome to the Port of Húsavík
The Port of Húsavík offers versatile docking options to accommodate various vessel sizes. Our largest dock can host ships up to 220 meters in length with a draft of 10 meters, ideal for cruise ships and large vessels. A secondary dock supports ships up to 132 meters with an 8-meter draft, while a third dock accommodates vessels up to 90 meters with a 6-meter draft. For ships anchored offshore, we provide a new tender dock for smooth passenger transfers. All docks are equipped with essential services, ensuring efficient and safe operations for all visiting ships.
Dock Information
- Þvergarður Pier is 90 meters in length, with a depth of approximately 6 meters.
- Norðurgarður Pier is about 132 meters in length, with a depth of about 8 meters.
- Bökugarður Pier is about 220 meters in length, with a depth of about 10 meters.
The Port of Húsavík features two tender docks: Tender 1 (30m length, 2.8m depth) and Tender 2 (39m length, 2.2m depth).
The Tug Boat Sleipnir provides support with a towing capacity of 12 tons.
